Atheletics Day

Today me and the rest of my class did athletics on athletics day, (athletics day means wearing mufti, doing sports, having fun and enjoying).

First we did discus, we had to hold it hard with your arm straight.

Next we did high jump, which we had to go over the stick to a safety blue bed.

Then we did shot put, which you have to hold the ball like a chicken, which you use your other hand to aim to as far as you want it to be.

Lastly we did a sprint race with seniors, which LS1 and LS1 got into the finals.

I enjoyed doing athletics. I did well learning how to do shot put and discus. I need to improve on my high junps and running.

 

Summarising.

Today me and my group learned about summarising, (summarising means to say something in fewer words).

First we had to read a story named Goldilocks and the three bears.

Next we made a copy of a google document to put important words from the story to the document.

Lastly we had to put 6 most important words from story to the document but in sentences.

I enjoyed learning about the story of Goldilocks and the three bears. I did well reading. I need to improve on my spelling.

Marble Maze

Today I learned about marble mazes, (marble mazes are made by using rulers, pencil or pen, measuring, and paper).

First I had to use a scrap paper, which I had to use my pencil and ruler to write 7 x 10 straight lines horizontally and vertically.

Next Mr.Wong sent me and the rest of the class for us to make a marble maze but on google slides on our chromebook.

Lastly I finished make my own marble maze.

I enjoyed make my own marble maze. I did well measuring. I need to improve on making my marble maze harder.

Timeline

I learned about timeline but about cars, (a timeline is a line that tells you about the things in the past and the things that are presented right now).

I had to make a arrow line and a title for my car timeline.

I needed to research information about cars.

I finished making my timeline, which the last part was to make it pretty at last.

Formal Letters

Today I learned about formal letters, (a formal letter is a letter with 6 things, address, date, greeting, paragraph, closing of the letter, and signature).

First I made a copy of a google document to make a formal letter to a person, I chose Kevin Hart.

Next I had to make my formal letter with all of the 6 things.

Lastly I finished my google document and blogged it.

 

Rail Transport

I learnt 10 facts about trains and stakeholder, (a stakeholder is a person with an interest or concern in something, but especially a business).

First I made a google document about train facts.

Next we had to research 10 facts about trains and put it on the DLO.

Lastly we brought the 10 facts about trains but into our DLO.

I enjoyed learning about what a stakeholder means. I did well researching. I need to improve on my research but simple.

 

Time and Distance

Today me and my group learned about time and distance.

First we measured how fast we could run.

Next 4 people were using extra phones to start a stop watch, while we all had one at a time of having a turn of running from one at a time.

After that there was another 4 people have to start the data base of how long it takes for the person to run up to 2,4,6 and 8 metres.

Lastly we had one at a time from using the data base, running, and using the extra phones to start the stopwatch.

I enjoyed running. I did well doing the stop watch job. I need to improve on my measuring and the data base job.

 

 

HPE

Today me and group B learned about discus and shot put.

First we learned of how to hold a discus and how to aim and throw straight, here are the steps of how to hold a discus: stand aside on, point to a target, discus has to be on the shelf of your body, your chin knees, toes in a row, and lift the discus from low to high.

Next we learned of how to hold and throw in shot put.

Lastly we finished learning about discus and shot put.

I enjoyed learning discus. I did well throwing a shot put. I need to improve on holding the discus properly.

Formal Letter

Today me and group 4 learned about formal letter, (a formal letter is is letter that has 7 things: Address, Date, Greeting, Paragraphs, Closing of the letter, Signature, and Job).

First we had to take one of Ms.White’s letter’s to see if the letter has all 7 things.

Next we had to find if the address, date, greeting, paragraphs, closing of the letter, signature, and the job are all on the letter.

Lastly we had to make a DLO to put all of the 7 things that we found on the letter, which we had to make a photo of the formal letter with the the 7 things.

I enjoyed learning about formal letter. I did well working in a group. I need to improve on making my DLOs.

Basic Facts Boxes

Today LS1 did basic facts boxes, (just if you forget what a basic fact boxes is, a basic facts boxes is when you make a copy of it and challenge yourself by doing maths).

First we made a copy of the basic facts boxes, which I have chosen a subject as addition, because of how helps me with my maths and will help me with my times tables too.

Next we had to put on a stopwatch, a stopwatch helps you with your maths on how fast you could go, my goal to do it in 1 minute, people say its impossible, but what ever you believe, you can achieve.

Lastly I finished in 2 minutes and 19 seconds and that I was happy about of how I did my basic facts boxes in 2 minutes and 19 seconds.

I enjoyed doing maths, I did well on my maths, I need to focus on maths to even do times table, subration, and the division.
