Rounding up numbers

Today my activity was to learn about something that is similar than place value, rounding up numbers, for me, me and my group had to round numbers up to the millions and two decimal places, i got free tips like “we round numbers to a specific place value. which means that every digit after that place becomes a zero.

2024 Blog Count

Today our task was to count all our blogs that are from 2020 and 2023, which is like a 2024 task so I can restart and start on my 2024 blog posts on my edublog/blog blurb, I know that I have 234 blog posts because I used my maths by adding up each of my blog posts from each year or each month, and that I added some information and I took a picture of it. I liked this activity because I liked this activity because my favourite subject is maths.

I enjoy this activity because I like achieveing my goals and blogging it.

Statistics DLO

Today our task was to find out information about how much activites do you do during your free time.  I liked doing the statistics DLO because it will show information about many people in our school which I like making friends. (Most people like games, the lowest options are family and study while others chose tracing, drawing and listening to music).

I enjoy this activity because I like knowing about people.

Money

This week me and my group learned about money, and how to use money by using math strategies like algorithm.

First I made a copy of a Google slide that my teacher sent me for using images of cents and dollars, which 100 cent goes into 1 dollar, and dollar goes before and cents goes after.

Next I did a puzzle that says my teacher sent me 5 dollars which I have to buy something with 5 dollars but I have to at least buy 2 items just from a shop website.

Lastly I had to add names from the 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 bill, even from the back of the note, the name of the birds on the back of the bills, and started my blog post.

Maths Can Do’s

This week in Maths we have been learning how to work independently. This means working silently, by yourself, without talking to others. Our task this week was to complete as many Can Do’s as possible. The minimum amount we could do, was four. I chose to do these four tasks:

2.Basic Facts Boxes

3.The Number of the day

4.Prototec

Lastly I finished and started my blog post.

Fractions Follow Up Task

Today I learned about fractions, (a fraction is a numerical quantity that is not a whole number).

First I made a copy of a fraction google drawing.

Next I answered some questions of fractions with shapes and story sentences.

Lastly I finished my fraction google drawing and started my blog post.

Coordinates.

Today I learned about Coordinates, (Coorinates is something that could get you at a place).

First I made a copy of the google drawing to do coordinates.

Next my school teacher gave me some coordinates to find out of a place, but the teacher told me that it is supposed to go horizontally and then vertically.

Lastly I finished and started my blog post.

 

Basic Facts Boxes

Today I did some Basic Facts Boxes.

First I chose the addition maths basic facts boxes.

Next I started on my basic facts boxes

Lastly I finished my basic facts boxes and started my blog post, which I finished in 2mins and 14secs.

I enjoyed doing my maths, I did well on my basic facts boxes, I need to improve on my speed.

Place Values

Today I learned about places values and maths form, (maths for is like saying a number but in different forms like “one” and “1”).

First I made a copy of google slides.

Next I answered some maths questions.

Then I went through a Google form about maths.

After that my teacher sent me a google drawing about place values, which the number that my teachers shows me, I have to show it with pictures of tens, ones and hundred blocks.

Lastly I finished and I started on my blog post.

I enjoyed on my maths, I did well on my maths, I need to improve on my learning.
